Project Breakdown
For me, dog rescue isn’t just a cause—it’s a personal mission. My passion for animal welfare has led me to find creative ways to give back, blending my love for art with my commitment to rescue advocacy. Through this ongoing passion project, I create custom pet portraits for individuals who donate to local animal rescues. This initiative not only raises essential funds for shelters but also celebrates the powerful connection between people and their rescue pets.
The Challenge
Animal rescues constantly struggle with limited funding, overcrowded shelters, and an overwhelming number of animals in need of care. Many rely on donations to cover essential expenses like medical treatment, food, and adoption programs. However, donor fatigue and a lack of engagement strategies can make it difficult for these organizations to sustain long-term support.
Additionally, while people deeply cherish their rescue pets, there are few ways for them to meaningfully celebrate that bond while also contributing to the cause.
the solution
I wanted to create a win-win model—one that encouraged donations while giving pet owners something special in return. The solution was simple but effective:
- Custom Pet Portraits for Donations – Anyone who donates to a participating rescue receives a one-of-a-kind digital or hand-drawn portrait of their pet.
- Social Media-Driven Fundraising – Using my platform to spread awareness, showcase finished portraits, and encourage more people to participate.
- Amplifying Rescue Stories – Featuring pets who have found homes and bringing attention to animals still in need.
- Encouraging Long-Term Giving – By turning donations into a personalized experience, this initiative keeps supporters engaged beyond a single contribution.
